"Talk" by Nao

hana-su, hanashi, wa

The verb “hanasu” means to talk or to speak. The noun “hanashi” means a talk, speech or a story.

There are many kinds of stories. Let’s see what kind of stories there are in the world. All words end with today’s character, which we read banashi or wa. Banashi is a voiced sound of hanashi.

  • Omoide-banashi is reminiscences.
  • Tsuku ri-banashi is a fiction.
  • Naga-banashi is a long story.
  • Wara i-banashi is a funny story.
  • Yo-banashi or yawa is a night story.
  • Minwa is a folktale.
  • Shinwa is a myth.
  • Jitsuwa is a true story.

There are some sayings and proverbs including the word hanashi.

  • “Hanashi-hambun ni kiku” means to take a person’s story with a grain of salt. The verb “kiku” means to listen. The particle “ni” means “by” when it follows an amount.
  • “Hanashi ga hayai” or hayai hanashi” expresses that something is done very swiftly.
  • “Hanashi ga mieru” literally means that you can’t see the story. In other words, you can’t see where the story goes.

Hanashi is sometimes written with shi in hiragana.

  • There are people who are good at talking and poor at talking. The former is “hanashi- zu; the latter is “hanashi-be ta.
  • When you call somebody and the line is busy, you can express the situation as “hanashi-chū.”
  • “hanashi-a i is a meeting.
  • “hanashi-ai te is a companion, who you can talk with.
  • “hanashi-kotoba is a spoken language or a colloquial language.

  1. Draw the dot on the top.

  4. Draw the horizontal stroke above the rectangle.
  5. Draw the left side of rectangle.
  6. Draw the upper and right sides of the rectangle.
  7. Draw the lower side of the rectangle.
  8. Begin to draw the right-hand side. Draw the sweeping stroke on the top.
  9. Draw the horizontal stroke.
  10. Draw the vertical stroke.
  11. Draw the left side of the rectangle.
  12. Draw the upper and right sides of the rectangle.
  13. Draw the lower side of the rectangle.
