tsu-geru, koku

One of the simplest meanings of this character is “to tell.” While we hardly hear the verb “tsugeru” in casual occasions, we sometimes use “koku,” combining with other characters. For example, kokuchi is a notice or a notification; yokoku, an advance notice; kokuhaku, a confession. All these compounds become verbs when you put the suffix –suru.
