karada, tai, tei
A body is karada.
Bodily powers or physical strength is tairyoku. Physical education is taiiku, of which the iku means to bring up. Gymnastics is taisō, of which the sō is to manipulate.
Daitai means generally or roughly. When we use it as a noun, it is an outline or a majority.
Buttai is an object. Ekitai is liquid, kotai is a solid, and kitai is gas.
This character also means appearance. Honor or dignity is taimen, of which the men is surface. Teisai has similar meanings such as appearances and respectability. Tei is this character; sai means to judge.
Shotai means a typeface or a style of handwriting. Buntai is a literary style.

The left side of the character represents a human.
- Draw the sweeping stroke.
- Draw the vertical stroke under the previous stroke.
- Begin to draw the right side of the character. Draw the horizontal line from the left to the right. The tip of the brush moves along the upper side of the line.
- Draw the vertical line from the top to the bottom. The tip of the brush moves along the left side of the line.
- Draw the sweeping stroke from the third and fourth strokes intersect. Let it sweep toward the lower left and make it thinner gradually.
- Draw the sweeping stroke heading toward the lower right corner. Make it broader at the end.
- Draw the short horizontal stroke between the fifth and sixth strokes.
