su-ku, su-keru, su-kasu, tō

Su-keru or tōmeina is transparent. Tōmei is transparency. The suffix na makes some compounds function as adjectives.

Su-kasu is to make transparent. Misu-kasu means to see through somebody’s mind. The mi of misu-kasu means to see. Shintō is penetration. Shin means soaking.

This character has one of the most difficult radicals, shinnyō.

1. Draw the sweeping dot from the top.
2. Draw the horizontal stroke from the left to the right.
3. Draw the vertical line from inside the first stroke.
4. Draw the sweeping stroke from the previous strokes intersect.
5. Draw the sweeping stroke where the previous stroke begins.
6. Draw the sweeping stroke from near the center.
7. Draw the crooked stroke. Change the direction of the brush four times.
8. Start drawing shinnyō. Draw the dot in the upper-left corner of the character.
9. Draw the crooked stroke, the vertical part. Change the direction of the brush three times.
10. Draw the lying curve at the bottom. Stop a little before finishing the stroke, and spread the brush to make a neat hem-like ending.
